Cherating Beach is situated 47 km from Kuantan town, the capital city of Pahang. The drive to Cherating is an adventurous one as you will pass through the Titiwangsa Range. This is the main mountain range which divides Malaysia into the east and the west coast. Along the way you will see endless primary jungles emitting fresh tropical air, palm and rubber plantations and historical sites. The beach is known among avid surfers for the strong South Chine Sea waves. Each year surfers from around the world will gather at Cherating beach to enjoy the waves.
Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia fly to Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport which is about 15km away from Kuantan town. The duration of the flight is 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Low Cost Carrier Terminal Sepang (LCCT). From here, take a taxi to the resort which will take about 40 minutes to arrive.
If you prefer to drive, the trip from Kuala Lumpur will take about 3.5 hours. Head for Karak Highway and East Coast Highway. After the highway, drive towards Kuala Terengganu / Kemaman using the scenic Highway Route No.3 Follow the signage to Cherating and look out for the resort on your right. The resort is located about 30 minutes drive away from Kuantan, the capital city of Pahang state.
